As a family, after a short, adapted tour for young and old, we discover the slate museum Haut-Martelange. Together we descend into the underground gallery (-15 m) and get to know the path taken by slate from its place of extraction to the finished product.

 

The craft of «Leekëppert» is demonstrated and afterwards each of the group is allowed to dress their own roofing slate themselves. In the last part it gets creative: polish your own medallion or use the slate to make a coaster for the coffee cup and decorate it!

 

Duration of the tour: 2 hours

Please bring a jacket, even in warm weather, and make sure you wear sturdy shoes.
