DIESELLOCOMOTIVE OME 117

The green locomotive OME 117, one of the Diesel engines belonging to the ‘Friends of the Slate’, drove the visitors through the area of the Slate Museum starting 2006, in alternance with other engines. Unfortunately, the Diesel Engine became ‘sick’ in 2017, so that it could not be used anymore as a ride for the visitors and restorations had to be implemented. Only in 2020, the responsible ‘Friends of the Slate’ Train- Team had worked 150 hours on the Diesel locomotive, whereas more specific works had to be outsourced to different companies. Here you can admire a small picture report of the engine which is supposed to drive again starting this season 2021.
